Abstract:
Eight weeks ago, readers of Beaf, a Melbourne magazine devoted to the local music and club scene, were confronted with a large advertisement inviting them to come to an evening celebrating ‘the lure of fascist propaganda’ at a ‘Nuremburg-style rally’. Despite a disclaimer which stated that the ad did not ‘excuse the crimes of the Nazi regime’, the invitation was decorated with the usual Triumph of the Will/Aryan kitsch.
