At Easter this year, over seven hundred people camped in the desert to protest against Nurrungar US war-fighting base which is in the Woomera Prohibited Military Area. It is almost inconceivable that a military zone the size of Victoria exists in Central Australia, but it does. What is it? Why does it exist?
