Abstract:
The collapse of the earlier concept of secularism, the defective system of ‘post-secularism’ and the provisions of a proposed new secularism are discussed. The new secularism would require an interaction between religion and secularism, reject religious abuses while nurturing the benefits of religion, and also encourage an understanding between the old secular Left and the religious Left.
