Abstract:
I had come to Russia in 2007 to continue my pilgrimage of sorts through former communist countries. So what has happened to communism in Russia? In St Petersburg at least it showed up in four unexpected places: the Tupolevs, the Nevsky Prospect, a sense of identity, and in the underground.
