Among the various proposals being considered to replace the massacred industries of Melbourne’s northern suburbs, the possibility of cultural tourism is being mooted. Why, it is asked, cannot some of the international traffic between Tullamarine and the city be waylaid in Coburg or Moonee Ponds and relieved of its excess yen and Deutschmarks?
