In ‘Syrian Fantasies’ (Arena Magazine No. 138), I was surprised at Gerry Simpson’s emphasis on military interventionism, without giving adequate consideration to the role of diplomacy as a feature of Western colonial interference with numerous governments worldwide, including Syria’s.
