Abstract:

Indra Publishing has just released A PNG Officer’s Bougainville Campaign Diary, written by Y. A. Liria. It should be read by all Australians; certainly by all the ordinary shareholders of BCL/CRA/RTZ Bougainville Copper Ltd and its parent companies Conzinc Riotinto Australia, and Rio Tinto Zinc. Liria brings home the detail of the deadly day-to-day consequences of the Bougainville campaign – to those with financial interests in Bougainville, and to those who have believed the Australian Government’s assurances that Bougainville is Papua New Guinea’s business, not ours.
