Abstract:
Australia is considered to be a positive eutopia, although it is generally presented as a dystopia in utopian texts. It is suggested that the background of a harsh landscape, its convict past and conflicts with Indigenous populations are the reasons for the dystopian texts published, in contrary to the truth.
