Abstract:

It was the kind of moment people describe as uncanny.

We had been travelling around ancient, faroff places. Happy tourists on a family break with a four-month-old baby, we had been busy giving photos, impressions and memories to names we had read about since childhood: names like ‘Ephesus’ and ‘Pergamum’, ‘the baths of Ariadne’, and more.
