Abstract:
It is not widely known that GATT (The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade) is only a small part of a comprehensive United Nations plan to regulate international trade after the Second World War. The rest was killed off by the United States because it objected to the proposals which sought to control foreign investment and international monopolies.
