June 14, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Arena and the Institute for Postcolonial Studies invite you to a panel discussion on one of Australia’s closest neighbours.

Joins us for a panel discussion with:

Jonathan Ritchie, lectures at Deakin University and is a historian of Papua New Guinea from the Second World War to independence, on ’business as usual’ and the recent vote of no confidence

Ipul Powaseu, currently writing a PhD on disability in Papua New Guinea, on ‘Manus Island land owners, detention centre and naval base’

Brad Underhill, currently writing a PhD on Australia’s PNG policy after the Second World War, on ‘Australian aid to PNG and recent developments with China’
