David Lloyd Brown recently completed his PhD in anthropology at Deakin University. His thesis argues that, behind the facade of a ‘digital government’ narrative, bureaucrats and corporations are building a new mode of public governance. He has worked as a ministerial innovation adviser to the Australian government, and as an information-management specialist in government and a global professional services firm.
